   TOAD COTTAGE

    OAKER VIEW

Tina and Kevin are pleased to offer two spacious and luxurious historic cottages as perfect places to stay in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales countryside.  Both are stone cottages, in beautiful and quiet residential villages, located approximately half way between Matlock and Bakewell and a short walk (from the door) to the Peak District National Park.

TOAD COTTAGE

Toad Cottage, in the village of Two Dales, situated in the private courtyard of Blacksmith yard is a delightful and very spacious cottage built around 1600, originally used as the village shop before being converted to the Blacksmiths Arms Public House.

Toad Cottage was converted from the public house in 1970 and now offers extremely comfortable accommodation, able to sleep 4 people, with a large kitchen/breakfast room, a spacious lounge/dining room and two large bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own adjoining luxury bathroom and there is a large sofa bed in the lounge for up to two additional guests.  There is off street parking for 2 - 3 cars and an enclosed courtyard garden with garden furniture and bbq.

OAKER VIEW

Oaker View, in the village of Darley Bridge, is a smaller and slightly younger stone cottage built in the mid 18th Century probably as a farm-worker's cottage.

Oaker View, is a two person cottage with a king sized bedroom, an extremely large and luxurious bathroom and a kitchen/dining room. The comfortable lounge has a sofa bed for an additional guest and just installed, a new and cosy wood-burning stove, ideal for sitting around on dark winter nights.  Oaker View also has a car port in the rear garden for a car, together with garden furniture and a bbq.

The one reoccurring theme in our visitor's book is that our guest's expectations are always exceeded.  Both cottages are personally managed by the owners, who do their utmost to ensure you have everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Please note that for the comfort of our guests, we do not allow smoking in Toad Cottage or Oaker View
